Lin Laurin

Lin Laurin

is a Swedish born, Los Angeles based actor/filmmaker/producer. She is currently in pre-production for the short film Doll Parts, which she will both executively produce and direct. Lin is a founding member of the Brooklyn based company, Perf Productions. As a producer of Perf’s debut show, Degeneration X, which ran for six weeks in the heart of the Lower East Side, NYC, Lin got a lot of hands on experience in independent theatre production. Together with the other Perf producers, Lin has produced over 50 events in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She has also co-produced many productions with The Living Theatre, including undergroundzero, an avantgarde theatre festival that took place in lower Manhattan in 2012, and Burning The Living, a week-long theatre festival in Black Rock City, Nevada in August 2014. Lin used to manage Loft 910 for seven years, an art space in Brooklyn, where she has produced everything from mini film festivals to gallery shows, and commercial shoots. With experience as a production manager, a house manager, a casting director, and as somebody who has directed both film and theatre, Lin is a person who can handle projects of any size or type. During the past decade, she has been artistically active in both the US and Sweden, and during that time, she has produced everything from plays to short films and art-shows. In 2011, she directed and produced a feature documentary called Iphigenia, which aired several times on national Swedish television, SVT and was received incredibly well. She loves producing strong unique projects, and is constantly inspired by the fact that as a producer you get to follow something that starts as an idea, and manifests as a completed work of art.
